PEACE OFFICER’S MEMORIAL
The POAVC Board of Directors erected the Peace Officer’s Memorial at the Ventura County Government Center on the Southeast corner of Thille St. and Victoria Ave. in 1998. The memorial was designed as a public reminder and place of respect an honor for all the fallen law enforcement officers in Ventura County from 1874 to present. Each year in May, the POAVC Board of Directors hosts a memorial service for the survivors, law enforcement and the public to honor our fallen heroes.

MEDAL OF VALOR AWARDS
It is also one of the responsibilities of POAVC to recognize and honor the remarkable both sworn law enforcement personnel and civilians in our communities who have demonstrated extraordinary bravery, taken courageous actions, and made critical choices to protect and save others. The POAVC Board of Directors in partnership with our community sponsors, perform this recognition at our bi-annual Medal of Valor Awards Dinner.
